Luis Gomez received his Ph.D. degree in telecommunication engineering from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, in 1992. Since 1994, he has been an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electronic Engineering and Automatic (DIEA), University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. His current research interests include image processing, remote sensing, and optimization.
