Dr. Diaz’s peers have awarded him the prestigious Montagna (SID), Sulzberger (AAD) and S. Rothman (SID) Awards for his contributions to dermatology. As well, he is recognized internationally, having received honorary memberships from dermatological societies globally. Dr. Diaz’s other honors include being President of both the Society for Investigative Dermatology (SID) and Association of Professors of Dermatology (APD), organized the SID’s 1st Resident Retreat program in 2001, and testified to Congress in 2001 regarding appropriations to assess the burden of skin disease. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Investigation, Association of American Physicians, National Academy of Medicine (IOM), Royal Society of Medicine, American Academy of Dermatology, American Dermatological Association, International Society of Dermatology and other International Societies.
