Laura Beranzoli

Laura Beranzoli received a degree in physics from the University “La Sapienza,” Rome, Italy, in 1986. She has been a Technology Director at the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV), Rome, Italy, since 2003.From 1988, she was a Researcher at INGV and, from 1994, she was responsible for geophysical and oceanographic sensor setup and installation on mono and multiparameter seafloor GEophysical and Oceanographic STation for Abyssal Research (GEOSTAR)-class observation systems and networks. She is presently a member of the scientific management teams of European Commission (EC) projects and is involved in the European Multidisciplinary Seafloor Observatory (EMSO) Research Infrastructure construction. Her research interests include processing and analysis of geophysical time series for the study of the interactions between different physical phenomena at seafloor.
