Kerry Walton

Kia ora, I am a molecular ecologist specializing in invertebrate biogeography, phylogeography and systematics. Much of my research is collections-focused, but I enjoy any fieldwork opportunity. My primary study organisms are molluscs. I am especially interested in the conservation of large, endangered land-snails, and unusual deep-sea habitats, such as hydrothermal vents. I have experience collaborating or consulting on a range of paleogenetics, conservation, biosecurity and iwi-led projects.
