I work to understand both sides of the multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis. What risk factors help to drive the development of MS? And are the same factors increasing disease severity and progression? What factors drive symptoms of MS such as depression, spasticity and urinary tract infections? Using a combination of Swedish register-based data, epidemiological study data and genetics I try to answer these questions using a variety of study designs and analysis techniques.
