个人简介
She is a qualified physiotherapist and quantitative health services researcher with experience from Ireland, Canada, and the UK.
Dr Sheehan is the current Principal Investigator of project grants funded by the National Institute for Health Research and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Charitable Trust which seek to evaluate the association between access and delivery of rehabilitation and outcomes after hip fracture. In 2019, Dr Sheehan was awarded a prestigious UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship which aims to improve patient outcomes of acute rehabilitation after hip fracture. Dr Sheehan will lead the first team to capitalise on national data and a strong patient voice to inform a stratified approach to rehabilitation. The feasibility of this approach will be tested in the clinical setting during her 4-year fellowship.
Research interests:
• Access, delivery and outcomes of care after hip fracture
• Interventions to improve outcomes of care after hip fracture
• Applying causal inference methodology to observational data
• Applying competing risk frameworks to observational data
