I'm interested in factors that increase risk for inadequate sleep in youth and the consequences of insufficient sleep. I am particularly interested in examining how and when insufficient sleep increases risk for obesity. Currently, I am examining the impact of experimentally shortened sleep on adolescent dietary consumption, as well as linking sleep duration, timing, and disruption across early childhood to cardiometabolic risk factors in later childhood.
