Saravanakumar Kandasamy

Biography: Dr. Kandasamy Saravanakumar Dr. K. Saravanakumar has received the doctoral degree from Annamalai University and have more than 14 years research experience in Molecular Biology, Fungi Biology, Plant Pathology, Plant-Microbe Interactions, Microbial Biotechnology, Cancer Biology, Bionanotechnology, and Biofuels & Bioenergy Research, with special reference to molecular diversity, disease diagnosis, natural products and industrial applications. He served as a Research Associate in Marine Biotechnology at the Centre for Advanced Study in Marine Sciences at Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu, India, and, in international parlance, as the Secretary of an International Training Program on Mangroves sponsored by UNU-UNESCO and INWEH for 2009–2013. He is employed as a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Agriculture and Biology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China. He is the recipient of various awards and honors, including a Post-Doctoral Research Award from SJTU, China. International Young Scientist Award from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Korea Researcher Fellowship Award from the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF), Republic of Korea, and Publons Peer Review Awards 2018. He has been published 200 scientific papers in reputed international journals with impact factor, including 10 book chapters (Taylor and Francis Publications and Elsevier publication), 5 Korean patents, and 1856 ITS, tef, 16s, and 18S gene sequences of bacteria or fungi deposited in GenBank (NCBI), as well as He has delivered 13 invited lectures and presented in 33 trainings, workshops, and conferences. He is now serving as Guest Editor in Biocatalysis and Agricultural Biotechnology at Elsevier's Frontiers Biosciences (a hybrid open-access journal).
