Kai-Wen Yang

Kai-Wen Yang (Student Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree (summa cum laude) in electrical engineering from New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), United Arab Emirates, in 2020. She was awarded the NYU Founders’ Day Award and was elected to membership in the national honor society of Phi Beta Kappa, Beta Chapter of New York. She was part of the NYUAD 2018 team that participated in the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Synthetic Biology Competition, and was awarded the Gold Medal, nominated Best Diagnostic Project and Finalist. She was an Undergraduate Research Assistant with the Integrated BioElectronics Lab, NYUAD, conducting research in the field of implantable neural interface. In 2020, she joined The Clinical AI Research Lab at NYUAD, conducting research on using clinical data for the prediction of patient outcomes. Her research interests include healthcare data science and clinical AI.
