Bastos José Mesquita

José Adelino Mesquita Bastos was born in Porto, Portugal. He received the bachelor’s degree in general medicine in 1983 and conducted the examination for the specialty on cardiology in 1994. In 2001, he became a European Specialist in Arterial Hypertension. In 2001, he joined the faculty of the School of Health, University of Aveiro, Aveiro, Portugal, as an Associate Professor. His current research interests include optical fiber sensor for arterial pulse waveform assessment, cardiovascular rehabilitation, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and pulse wave velocity prognostic values in hypertension.
