Jose Manuel Gonzalez-Irusta

I am a benthic ecologist, with a special interest in sea urchins and habitat modelling. My scientific carrier is focused on understanding how the environmental factors (natural or anthropogenic) affect the biological cycles of benthic species and habitats. My research combines the growing spatial information available in the marine ecosystems with the information from monitoring about distribution of marine species to improve our understanding of species autoecology and anthropogenic impacts.
