Jae-Soong Lee was born in Seoul, Korea, in 1975. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Daejeon, Korea, in 1997 and 2000, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Seoul National University, Seoul, in 2006, all in physics. He is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, His current research interests include the design, fabrication, and characterization of GaN LEDs, laser diodes (LDs), and resonant tunnel diodes.
