I am an interdisciplinary scientist with 20 years of experience working at the intersection of science and conservation with specific expertise in plant and animal ecology, tropical forests, climate change, community-based resource management, and statistical modeling. My research is nearly all international across 4 continents and more than 10 countries. I work collaboratively with government, private sector, local community, and academic partners to innovate and implement conservation. I am an experienced mentor and leader with the ability to perform well independently and in a team. I have authored 100+ scientific publications in high profile journals and communicate science through social media, popular media articles, and public speaking. My goal is to use science to contribute to the creation and implementation of innovative solutions to the world’s most complex conservation challenges.
