He was Chairman of the American Society of Echocardiography National Scientific Sessions for 2004, and Chairman, American Society of Echocardiography Research Committee. He currently serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and has served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography. Dr. Gorcsan serves on a National Institutes of Health study section for the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute. Dr. Gorcsan’s research is supported by the United States National Institutes of Health, American Heart Association and the American Society of Echocardiography as Principal Investigator.
