个人简介
Johannes Passig obtained his diploma in experimental cluster physics at the University of Rostock. He holds a PhD in Physics and researched on electron spectroscopy and strong-field physics with ultra-short laser pulses at the University of Rostock and the Max-Planck Institute for Quantum Optics in Garching. After a postdoc position at the Chair of Analytical Chemistry, University of Rostock, he is currently working as topic leader for laser and aerosol mass spectrometry at the Joint Mass Spectrometry Centre of the University of Rostock and the Helmholtz Centre Munich, German Research Centre for Environmental Health.
With his background in experimental physics, his current research interests range from fundamental laser-particle interactions via mass spectrometry of particle-bound pollutants to aerosol chemistry and physics, with emphasize on single-particle mass spectrometry developments and their application to atmospheric sciences.
Currently he is coordinating a research team of 4 PhD students and 1 postdocs. To date, he has authored/co-authored 2 book chapters, more than 30 scientific papers in refereed journals and 1 patent in the topics single-partice mass spectrometry, electron and mass spectrometry, strong-field dynamics, atmospheric chemistry and aerosol toxicity.
