My research laboratory focuses on clinical and experimental aspects of metabolic and liver injury, the development of therapeutic intervention and novel biomarkers in NASH. The clinical trials center is dedicated to phase 2 and 3 drug development programs in MASH, PBC and liver cirrhosis.
I serve in the scientific steering committee of the United European Gastroenterologist (UEG) and the public health, policy, and advocacy committee of the European association for the study of the liver (EASL). In addition, I act as an associate editor Alimentary Pharmacology & Therapeutics and Hepatology.
