Bio
Jiro Matsuo received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan.
He is currently an Associate Professor with the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University. In 1984, he joined Fujitsu Company to develop advanced CMOS device and process. He served as the Deputy Leader of “Cluster Ion Beam Technology” and “Advanced Quantum Beam Project” of MITI, in which collaborative research with many companies was carried out to develop industrial appreciations of cluster ion beam. He is now conducting the “3 Dimensional Molecular Imaging for Soft Materials” project of Japan Science Agency. His current research interests include ion beam processes and characterization for advanced materials and devices.
