Jiayao Yan

Jiayao Yan received the B.Eng. degree in mechanical and aerospce engineering from Jilin University, Changchun, China, in 2017, and the M.S. degree in mechanical and aerospce engineering in 2020 from the University of California San Diego, La Jolla, CA, USA, where she is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in mechanical and aerospce engineering. Her research focuses on the structural design and control of soft robots using large-scale gradient-based optimization.
