Bio
Jesualdo Tomás Fernández Breis (Senior Member, IEEE) received the bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Murcia (UMU), Spain, in 1999 and 2003, respectively. He is currently a Full Professor with the Faculty of Computer Science, UMU. Since 2004, he has been leading research projects related to semantic web technologies. He is the co-founder of the spin-off Longseq applications. He is also a member of the IMIB-Arrixaca Bio-Health Research Institute. His current research interests include the application of semantic technologies for the development of learning health systems and the development of quality assurance methods for ontologies and terminologies.
