Arshad Javed received the B.Tech. degree in mechanical engineering from the Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, India, in 2004, the M.E. degree in mechanical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering (topology optimization) from the BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, Rajasthan, India, in 2008 and 2014, respectively. He had work experience as an Assistant Professor from the Caledonian College of Engineering, Seeb, Oman (affiliated to Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland, U.K.), from June 2014 to July 2015 and also worked as an Assistant Professor from BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, from May 2009 to May 2014. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, Hyderabad, India. His current research interests include topology optimization, compliant mechanisms, micromechanisms, robotics and automation systems, mechatronic systems, and automation of microfluidic systems.
