Career Trajectory
Bio
I am currently an Instructor in Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center and a faculty member at the Centers for Disease Control funded STD Prevention Training Center.
Clinically I serve as an attending on the inpatient general medicine, infectious diseases, and pediatric infectious diseases services.
I have substantial experience working in interdisciplinary teams to conduct epidemiological, behavioral and social sciences research on improving the care cascade for individuals living with and/or at risk of HIV. My active research interests focus on optimizing the cascade of care for adolescents and young adult living with, or at risk of; human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). My work focuses on 3 main areas; 1) Improving sexual health screening and provision of services through the use of personalized feedback 2) Increasing linkage to care for patients living with or at risk of HIV through real-time EMR based population health dashboards 3) Improving persistence in care through the use of smartphone based personalized interventions.
