Michael F. Jasinski

Michael F. Jasinski was born in Syracuse, NY, USA, in 1952. He received the B.S. degree in civil and environmental engineering and the M.S. degree in hydrology from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA, in 1974 and 1976, respectively, and the Sc.D. degree in hydrology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA, in 1989. From 1978 to 1984, he was a Water Resources Engineer with Harza Engineering Company, Chicago, IL, USA. Since 1989, he has been a Research Scientist with the Hydrological Sciences Laboratory, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, MD, USA, where he is involved in satellite remote sensing of terrestrial physics. He is currently the Lead Hydrologist for the NASA ICESat-2 Mission, including the Lead Developer of its inland water height retrieval algorithm.
