Dr. Anderson has been extensively published in professional journals, has served on the editorial boards of publications such as Vegetarian Nutrition, Diabetes Self-Management and Prevention Magazine, and currently acts as a reviewer for a dozen major medical journals worldwide. He is the author of more than 15 patient-centered lifestyle guidebooks, including "Diabetes: A Practical Guide to Healthy Living," and "The Simple Diet: A Doctor's Science-Based Plan." Dr. Anderson's recent research interests include dietary management techniques for symptoms of Alzheimer's disease. As one of the leading voices in modern clinical nutrition, Dr. Anderson is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Nutrition and the American Society for Clinical Nutrition. He is the former chairperson of the board of trustees of Georgetown College, and has donated his time as a volunteer medical provider for the Salvation Army Clinic and the Mission Lexington Medical Clinic. Dr. Anderson is an ordained deacon of the Baptist Church, and remains active in his faith community as a Sunday school teacher, missionary and supporter of community outreach by financial tithing.
