I graduated from the University of Manchester with a BSc(Hons) in Chemistry and PhD in bioanalysis. I was a Research Fellow at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. I became Senior Lecturer at University of Greenwich and then Manager of the world's first wholly commercial Accelerator Mass Spectrometry facility. I was appointed to Kingston University as Reader (2006), Assoc Professor (2014) and Professor of Analytical Science (2020). I am the Faculty's Director of Postgraduate Research.
