Research and development in novel optical nanostructures for improving sensitivity and providing new functionalities to bioanalytical technologies relying on label-free surface plasmon resonance (SPR), surface plasmon-ehanced fluorescence spectroscopy (PEF), and surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). This interdisciplinary research embraces mass-production lithography techniques, development of unique biointerface architectures, and the implemention to new biosensor concepts.
