Jorgen S. Christiansen

Jørgen Christiansen received the M.S. in electronics engineering from the Danish Technical University in Copenhagen in 1986. He worked in industry before joining the CERN microelectronics group in 1989. He has designed dedicated integrated circuits for high energy physics experiments and in particular time to digital converter integrated circuits that are now used worldwide. During the period 1997–2007 he was the electronics coordinator of the LHCb experiment, defining and implementing the front-end electronics and readout architecture of this experiment in close collaboration with the many institutes building the different electronics systems of this experiment. Since 2007, he has been the group leader of the CERN electronics group (PH-ESE) covering microelectronics and general electronics systems for experiments at CERN.
