Jader Monari graduated in Electronic Engineering at the University of Bologna in 1996 with an experimental thesis at the CNR (now INAF) Radioastronomy Institute. In 1997 he joined the SPOrt (Sky Polarization Observatory) project; the microwaves polarimeter should have flown on the ISS (International Space Station). During year 2003 he worked on the design of the new Single feed/Multi feed/Multi frequency architectures for the receiving systems of the future 64m SRT (Sardinia Radio Telescope) realized near S. Basilio (Cagliari). In 2004 started a collaboration within SKADS (Square Kilometer Design Studies). In particular he worked at the design of BEST receiver architecture (Italian Test Bed for SKA) and for the EMBRACE receiver (Dutch SKA pathfinder planar Aperture Array). He was a member of the PREPSKA team since 2008 as liaison engineer and he became Program coordinator for Italian AAlow task apart of AAVP program (Aperture Array Verification Program) then became AADC (Aperture Array Design Consortia). Within AADC he was appointed as task leader for receivers. Still within the framework of international programs, he coordinates the technical resources for the development of the new receiving system for LOFAR2. The Medicina station was selected as the best location in Italy for the future installation of this array. Nowadays he is Italian program manager for all SKAlow tasks and, at an international level, part of the Executive board that coordinates all the activities of this phase. He is also part of the SKA and LOFAR Italian board appointed by the Scientific Directorate. He is Medicina Radiotelescope station manager since 9 years now.
