高杰,男,研究员。1983年给出了精确测量微波腔中场分布的解析公式。1986年研制成功了四电极透镜系统并得到了0.2微米的镓离束。1986年6月-1989年4月:在中科院高能物理研究所建成了中国及亚洲第一台微波电子枪系统。1990年提出了系统的微波电子枪设计理论及方法。1991年建立起完整的直线加速器(加速管)的解析理论及方法,该理论被Los Alamos 的Dr. T. Wangler 收录于其著作”RF Linac Accelerators”中作为独立章节,并被同行称为Gao theory。1996年给出了电子储存环中束团纵向拉伸及能散增加的新的理论解释 (2002年意大利科学家称之为Gao Model)。1996年给出了电子储存环中束团横向不稳定性的新的理论解释。1996年为CERN-CLIC-CTF2设计并制造了两根世界上加速流强最大的直线加速管。首次从理论上证明了ξy总存在上限。该问题是加速器物理领域公认的难题。对非线性元件(引起的动力学孔径的减小做了深入的理论研究, 并首次给出了解析公式来计算动力学孔径。现任ICFA beam dynamics panel member。国际权威杂志“物理快报”“物理评论”评审员。现任国家自然科学奖海外评审专家,北京大学,上海国家光源(SINAP),兰州大学,的客座教授。在Nucl. Instr. and Methods A, Particle Accelerators, Review of Scientific Instruments, 及IEEE Trans. Instr. And Measurements上共发表30篇文章。
