个人简介
Jan Frenzel is in charge of the research group materials processing. He focuses on ingot metallurgy and melts alloys, investigates thermo mechanical processing and studies the evolution of microstructure during materials processing. Jan Frenzel works in the fields of shape memory alloys and Ni-base superalloys. He is a member of the scientific committee of the Symposium on Martensitic Transformations (ESOMAT) and of the editorial board of the journal Materials. At the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, he is in charge of the Advanced Study Group Input Data and Validation which links our experimental activities to the modeling activities of ICAMS. In teaching, he covers the fields of shape memory alloys, resources and recycling, and scanning electron microscopy.
