Isacco Beritognolo

My reasearch topics are genetics and physiology of forest trees. My past research experience includes: population genetics and mating system of Persian walnut (Juglans regia); expression of genes involved in formation of heartwood in black walnut (Juglans nigra); transcriptomics and eco-physiology of response to salinity in white aspen (Populus alba); characterization and establishment of olive (Olea europea) germplasm collections. At present, I am mainly involved the following topics: floral phenology of sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa); sex determination in poplar species (Populus spp).
