Irene Kaplow

I am a Research Scientist in the Gersbach Lab in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Duke University. My motivation is to develop a deeper understanding of the mechanisms involved in transcriptional regulation, the process that is partially responsible for defining the differences between tissues and cell types within an organism. Specifically, I am interested in deciphering transcriptional regulatory mechanisms underlying phenotypic differences between mammals.
