Inas H Faris

I am a civil engineer, originally from Bagdad, with an M.Sc in structural mechanics from Tripoli University and M.Sc. in planning, reliability, and risk in civil engineering from the University of Granada. I am now working on my Ph.D. in Granada. My research activity is divided into two parts: the first is aimed at my thesis, focused on analyzing the elastic solid properties of 3D fields with random particle dispersions introducing the concept of the topological derivative. The second part of my work is dedicated to the NDE where I am working with other researchers on ultrasonics for diagnosis based on the characterization of elastic properties of layered tissues. I believe that the human body is one of the most ambitious engineering challenges.
