Dufait Ines

Inès Dufait initiated her career at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Brussels, Belgium, in 2007, when she started studying biomedical sciences. During this period, she performed multiple internships abroad, at the Division of Infection and Immunology, University College London, London, U.K., and the Department of Radiotherapy, VUB. For her Ph.D. studies, she returned to the field of cancer immunology and defended her Ph.D. thesis entitled Myeloid-Derived Suppressor Cells as a Novel Therapeutic Target in Colorectal Cancer in December 2018. She initiated her post-doctoral career under the guidance of Prof. Neyns, by establishing a translational research laboratory using data and samples from ongoing immunotherapeutic clinical trials. Afterwards, she returned to the Department of Radiotherapy, UZ Brussel, Jette, Belgium/VUB, as a Post-Doctoral Researcher in radiobiology and the Laboratory Manager responsible for the preclinical and translational research.
