个人简介
Ian works on river geomorphology and management. Recovery of rivers from disturbance is a general theme. His specific research interests are: riparian processes, large wood in rivers, sediment slugs/pulses, impacts of mining on rivers, sand and gravel extraction, river bank erosion, river diversions and relocations (including the north south water transfer in China), river restoration, maintenance of river restoration.
Rivers I mostly work on: SE Australia, Murray, SE Queensland, Yangtze, Yellow in CHina, Salween River in Myanmar.
