Bio

I am interested in applying biotechnology solutions to bring value to complex residues, such as lignin or petrochemical plastics. To this end, I engineer bacteria and enzymes in the lab using rational and evolutionary approaches. My current research is mainly focused on converting conventional plastic waste into more sustainable bioplastics using engineered bacteria.
