Imran a Girach

Imran A. Girach received the Ph.D. degree in physics from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi, India, in 2019. He has been working as a Scientist with the Space Physics Laboratory (SPL), Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Thiruvananthapuram, India, since 2008. He has carried out his doctoral research at SPL. He has set up trace gas observatory at SPL and conducted in situ measurements over the Indian Ocean and Antarctica. He has authored or coauthored more than 35 articles in international peer-reviewed journals. His research is focused on the chemistry and dynamics of trace gases in the Earth’s atmosphere by conducting in situ measurements, analysis of satellite observations, and modeling. Dr. Girach was a recipient of the Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Medal for Young Scientists in 2020.
