Hyunjung Shin

Hyunjung Shin received his B.S. degree in ceramic engineering from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea, in 1991, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from Case Western Reserve University (with A. H. Heuer and M. R. DeGuire) in 1994 and 1996, respectively. He spent one year (1996–1997) at Max-Planck Institute fur Metallforschung in Stuttgart, Germany, as an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow. He was a member of the research staff in Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology from 1997 to 2002. He is currently an assistant professor in the School of Advanced Materials Engineering at Kookmin University in Seoul, Korea. His research interests include biomimetic processing of ceramic thin films, ferroelectric thin films, transition metal oxide thin films, scanning probe microscope, nanomaterials, nanofabrication, colloidal particles, and self-assembly.
