Hyoseong Lee received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Civil Engineering, Gyeongsang National University, Jinju, South Korea, in 1995, 1997, and 2000, respectively. He has performed researches about digital photogrammetry as a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea, for six years before joining Sunchon National University as a Professor in 2006. From 2012 to 2014, he was a Visiting Scholar with the School of Civil Engineering, Purdue University, IN, USA. Since 2017, he has been conducting joint research as a Visiting Professor at the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences (HFT), Germany, during non-semester periods in South Korea. His research interests include digital photogrammetry and its application in various fields such as the 3-D re-construction by stereo camera images as well as the precise digital mapping using satellite images. Korea’s Land and Transportation Minister awarded him in 2015 for contributing to the spatial information field.
