Huseyin Avci

Huseyin Avci received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in fiber and polymer science from North Carolina State University (NCSU), in 2010 and 2013, respectively. Throughout his graduate career at NCSU, he studied in the field of biomaterials and high-performance fibers. He has been with the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Eskisehir Osmangazi University, as an Assistant Professor since 2014. During that time, he was a Research Scientist with Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, working on tissue engineering and organ-on-a-chip platforms. His current research interests include microfluidic devices and sensing platforms for drug development and screening, on-demand drug delivery, fibrous biomaterials, and wound dressings for tissue engineering.
