Hugues Garnier is a member of the IFAC Technical Committee "Modelling, Identification and Signal Processing" and of the IEEE technical committee "System Identification and Adaptive Control". He was also a member of the International Program Committee (IPC) for the last six IFAC Symposium on System Identification (SYSID), held respectively in Newcastle, Australia in 2006 (SYSID'2006), in Saint-Malo, France in 2009 (SYSID'2009), in Brussels, Belgium in 2012 (SYSID'2012), in Beijing in 2015 (SYSID'2015), in Stockholm in 2018 (SYSID'2018), in Padova to be held in 2021 (SYSID'2021). He is a member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Control.
