My career started during my undergraduate study period were I was involved in a UREP project about the use of basalt fibers in self compacting concrete mixes. I was also involved in experimental works on strengthened beams using FRP and FRCM until I worked on my master thesis, during which I published my first 2 papers. I am currently working on the use of RCA and GFRP reinforcement in concrete beams and studying their effect on the shear behavior. This basically covers my career and my research interests which are the use of alternative materials in concrete mixes and prolonging RC structures service life through repair and strengthening.
