He is actively working in Cancer Genetics, mainly in haematological malignancies, in the last 25 years. The main research lines were the use of the molecular cytogenetics and the massive genetic techniques to improve the diagnosis and prognosis of the patients with leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma. Actually he is the coordinator of the project HARMONY, a Big Data for Better Outcomes Initiative (H2020), aimed to improve the patient outcomes in hematological malignancies by using Big Data.
