If I could label my career track in a very general way, it would probably be: 'food' and 'animals'. I am an animal lover and a foodie. The passion towards food and animals has led to where I am today. Since I started devoting myself in the field of applied ethology and animal welfare science, pigs have been my main working species. Welfare of sows and piglets, social and play behaviors, salivary biomarkers, precision livestock farming (i.e., sensor technology) are the topics I have worked on.
