Helen Slater

I am a post-doctoral researcher, based at Bournemouth and Newcastle Universities, working in the global conservation science-policy interface and studying behavioural ecology and conservation of mammals in human-modified tropical forests. My PhD research focussed on human impacts and forest edge effects on forest structure and microclimates, and how these changes impact on forest mammals. My previous work has looked at the effects of forest degradation and climate on primate distributions.
