Dr. Highland is highly involved in the Population Architecture using Genomics and Epidemiology (PAGE) study which focuses on expanding biomedical research to benefit ancestrally diverse populations. Dr. Highland focuses on diabetes, underlying traits and diabetes complications. She is responsible for setting up analytical tools for multiple shared datasets, with complexities including in sampling design and relatedness.
