Bio

I aim to improve healthcare for older patients by integrating geriatrics into other specialties that provide intensive treatments to older adults. This started early as I combined research in geriatric nephrology with my training as a geriatrician. From 2019 onwards, I focus on pre-treatment geriatric assessments in older adults who need invasive treatment. Hereto I have set up a multidepartment clinical and research network with >10 departments within the Erasmus MC including >1400 patients.
