International scholar, among the first professionals to represent the Occupational Therapy (OT) field in Saudi Arabia, and advisor to Saudi academic, corporate, and government institutions on related educational programs and policy implementation in clinical setting. Recognized for researching and establishing training and development programs on campuses and recruiting students and staff, while creating field internship and career path opportunities for graduates entering the public and private sectors. ■ Recipient of the Hubert Humphry Impact Award/grant 2020 for “Driving for physically disabled individuals: a pilot training program in Saudi Arabia” ■ Selected as a 2017 Fulbright Scholar and Recipient of the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship in the field of Rehabilitation Higher Education Administration, by the US Dept. of State, Fulbright Commission, and Institute of International Education ■ Won the 2017 Forchheimer Prize from the International Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics for the most outstanding paper on objective clinical assessment, evaluation, or measurements in the journal Prosthetics and Orthotics International ■ First and youngest Saudi in the country to earn a Ph.D. as an Occupational Therapist in 2015 and First Saudi to Obtain the clinical rank of Consultant in Occupational Therapy by SCFHS.
