Hernan Alvarez

Hernán Alvarez was born in Medellín, Colombia. He graduated as Chemical Engineer from National University of Colombia, Medellín campus. He obtained the Magister degree in Systems Engineering at the National University of Colombia and received the Ph.D. degree in Control Systems Engineering at the Instituto de Automática of National University of San Juan, Argentina. Currently he holds a Full Professor Tenure position at the National University of Colombia, performing both research activities and teaching at the graduate and postgraduate programs at the Processes and Energy Department, Faculty of Mines. His research interests are on Chemical Process Modelling and Control.
