Hanan Khamis

Hanan Khamis (S’14) was born in Israel in 1987. She received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in biomedical engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (Technion), Haifa, Israel, in 2011 and 2013, respectively, where she is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering with the Laboratory for Ultrasound Signals and Image Processing and Modeling. She was a Research Assistant with the Laboratory for Ultrasound Signals and Image Processing and Modeling, Biomedical Engineering Department, Technion, from 2008 to 2011, under the supervision of Prof. D. Adam. During her studies, she has advised six groups of fourth year students, and taught six undergraduate and graduate courses. She took major part in projects in collaboration with the industry that are funded by the MAGNETON program, The Ministry of Science, Technology and Space. Her current research interests include echocardiography and strain imaging, including layer-specific 2-D strain measurements as a diagnostic tool of left ventricle myocardial pathologies.
