Gyu Ha Ryu

Gyu-Ha Ryu received the bachelor’s degree in microbiology and the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering from Seoul National University. He was a Senior Researcher in biomedical engineering with Seoul National University Hospital. He was a Post-Doctoral Research with the Center for Controlled Chemical Delivery, The University of Utah, with the Biomedical Engineering Institute, Seoul National University, and also with the Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, USA. Previous appointments held include the Director General of the Medical Device Evaluation and Approval Department with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. He received the Fellowship from the American Society for Artificial Internal Organs, the Outstanding Paper Award from the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies, and the Service Merit Medal from the president of Korea for his 18 years of service in this governmental agency.
